Here's some highlights:
1. Luc secured a visit by the pink fire truck from Pink Heals SE Georgia Chapter, for The Art Cure's opening night, October 1, 2010. Yay!
2. We're super thrilled to have AWWIN's very own Sarahlyn U. Argrow joining us for one of our painting sessions. She's a breast cancer survivor. I did not know that but then, today has brought lots of new information to my attention.
3. Missy inspires art via "BrEaST" assets and invited me to one of her painting classes. Why is this special? Well, if you don't know, her participants imprint their breasts onto a canvas. So, I'm going topless and paint with my boobies! I wish I thought of that idea first. This boobie art will be my donation to The Art Cure's auction. Hmmm, what's my boob imprint worth? (perhaps this is information I should not know)
*If you're interested in participating in this art class and you're within Savannah and have breasts of course, contact Missy to see if she has anymore openings.
4. I'm going to team up with FORCE (Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered) in the future. A few spontaneous ideas that came out of conversation have some great potential. Being my best friend's mother died of breast cancer and the same best friend's younger sister survived a rare ovarian cancer just before entering college, and that the very woman who inspired me to create The Art Cure was diagnosed with stage 4 uterine cancer in May, I'm feelin' a higher calling here.
